Cost is clearly one of the most significant barriers to college success for low-income students. Since 1990, ACI has provided more than $2.8 million in financial aid to more than 1,850 students through Illinois' largest statewide, non-governmental scholarship initiative. ACI administers more than 185 scholarships ranging from emergency financial assistance to scholarships for minorities. ACI also works with corporations, foundations, and individuals to tailor new scholarship to reflect donors' special interests.
